Reclaiming Your Focus

Whether attending or returning to school or entering the workforce, POGO Transitions Counsellors work to help survivors identify resources and obtain tailored supports, ensuring that late effects of cancer treatment never stand in the way of a survivor's educational or career goals.

Font hard to read? Change it!

Contrast too high or not high enough? Adjust it!

Do you have a hard time focusing on what you are reading? Thankfully, there are many tools that can help. One worth exploring is the TD Accessibility Adapter. Designed to make your screen time less draining, this free web extension allows you to personalize your web experience and focus your attention by doing things like greying out part of the screen or stopping autoplaying videos.

The TD Accessibility Adapter is available through the Chrome Web Store for use in the Chrome or Microsoft Edge browsers. You can build your own profile from scratch or customize its pre-set profiles designed for specific disabilities. Examples of these pre-set profiles are for dyslexia, epilepsy, and low vision. To make life easier, this adapter is designed to coexist with the assistive technology many survivors may already have.

Give it a try!
