RESEARCH Seeking Secondary School Teachers in Canada for a Research StudyGizem Guryil, a PhD candidate at UBC, supervised by Dr. Owen Lo, Associate Professor in Special Education and director of the STAR Lab are conducting a study titled "Meeting Advanced Learning Needs in Inclusive Classrooms: Examining the Preparedness, Challenges, and Needs of Secondary School Teachers in Canada."
This research explores how secondary school teachers perceive and implement inclusive education, the challenges they face, and the support they need, especially in meeting the advanced learning needs of students in general inclusive classrooms. If you are a secondary school teacher in Canada, you are invited to: Complete a short online survey (15-20 minutes) and enter a draw to win one of 10 $50 Amazon gift cards. Optionally take part in a follow-up Zoom interview (45-60 minutes). Each participant who completes the interview will receive a guaranteed $50 Amazon gift card.
