March 2023 Girls' Education | Literacy

Dear Friend,

Every March, International Women’s Day encourages us to reflect on the achievements of women and re-commit to investing in the next generation of women leaders.

I know that you and every member of our worldwide community believe that all girls deserve the opportunity for a quality education that will help them lead informed, fulfilled lives.

When girls can exercise their inherent right to education and have what they need to tap into their own potential, they see themselves as the heroes of their own stories. From there, the possibilities are endless.

That’s why Room to Read is launching a game-changing multimedia storytelling initiative, She Creates Change. In case you missed it, see how we’re amplifying girls’ voices as they create change for themselves, their communities and our world and sign up to follow along with this wonderful adventure.

Thank you for doing your part to build a more gender equal world through education.

Sincerely,

Lucina Di Meco

What are life skills and why do they matter?

When girls learn these skills and how to use them daily, they become better equipped to handle life’s challenges, from overcoming harmful gender stereotypes to mitigating the impacts of climate change.
