As a former youth in care, I know the power that support like the WonderKit can provide to those of us who have experienced child welfare. When an 18 year old leaves care, they need to know there is someone to turn to when life gets hard. Mental health supports through therapy or even a care package are crucial. And that’s just one of many things you could give through a WonderKit!

When you gift a WonderKit, you can send a customized e-card to a special person in your life. And until December 31, all items in the WonderKit Shop are MATCHED by the Foundation’s generous donor the KARE Foundation* - doubling your impact and the resources we can provide to children and youth like me.

$100: Mental Health Support
Exposure to trauma is almost universal amongst children and youth in child welfare. Your gift can help support a young person's mental health by providing a one-time therapy session, a self-care package or other wellness items.

For some children, youth and families experiencing the child welfare system, toys and games aren't affordable when other things - like housing and food - take priority. Your gift can provide children and youth in care, or families at risk of entering care, with a toy or game this holiday season.

Children and families involved in the child welfare system might not have easy access to appropriate, seasonal clothing - especially if they are moving from home to home.
