Advocating for captive wildlife

Earlier this month, Marineland was found guilty of three charges under the Provincial Animal Welfare Services Act of providing insufficient care to three young black bears. The conditions were so poor that the bears were declared in distress... the young bears were seized and relocated to sanctuaries. This court decision reinforces why Marineland should not be able to own any wildlife.

Just yesterday, we learned that two more whales have died at Marineland, bringing the total to 16 beluga whales and one orca since 2019!

The captive wildlife system is broken, enabling bad actors like Marineland to continue operating with no real consequences.

Sadly, there are animals suffering for our entertainment around the world.

Baloo has been locked in a cage in appalling conditions at a Romanian ski resort for the last 23 years. We’re determined to free Baloo, but we need your support.
