The Ireland Funds Washington, D.C. National Gala
March 13, 2024
The Ireland Funds hosted its 32nd National Gala on Wednesday, March 13, at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. The record-breaking event was the most successful in the history of the National Gala. The event honored Congressman Mike Kelly (R-PA) and Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) for their distinguished careers in public service.The Honorary Patron of the event, the Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar TD, addressed those gathered. First Minister Michelle O’Neill and deputy First Minister Emma Little-Pengelly from Northern Ireland attended in their first international engagement.

The Ireland Funds San Francisco Gala

The Ireland Funds honored Stripe CRO, Eileen O’Mara with The Ireland Funds Distinguished Leadership Award at the San Francisco Gala Dinner on Friday, March 8 at the St. Francis Hotel. Special Guest Geraldine Byrne Nason, Ireland’s Ambassador to the United States provided a very special introduction on International Women’s Day.

The Ireland Funds Pittsburgh Gala

The Ireland Funds Pittsburgh Gala was held on March 20 at Acrisure Stadium. Bill Demchak, the chairman and CEO of The PNC Financial Services Group, and Charlie Batch and Latasha Wilson-Batch, who founded and run the Best of the Batch Foundation received the 2024 Daniel M. Rooney Ambassador’s Award and the Patricia R. Rooney Community Impact Award, respectively. Special guests included Geraldine Byrne Nason, Ireland’s Ambassador to the United States.

The Ireland Funds Boston Young Leaders St. Patrick's Celebration

On Tuesday, March 12 The Ireland Funds Boston Young Leaders welcomed over 400 guests to the St. Patrick’s Celebration at the Boston Harbor Hotel. The Ireland Funds was honored to welcome the Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar TD as the evening’s guest speaker. Also in attendance was Ireland’s Ambassador to the United States, Geraldine Byrne Nason and the Consul General of New England, Sighle Fitzgerald.

On Thursday, March 7, The Ireland Funds relaunched the New York chapter of The Young Leaders Society. Sixty people gathered at the Fitzpatrick Hotel to kick off the St. Patrick’s Season.
