We're working towards a future without food poverty. Although many might not associate Ireland with food poverty, according to a 2024 report from Barnardos which polled a nationally representative group of 1,000 adults, 41% of parents have reported skipping meals or reducing portion sizes to ensure their children have enough to eat—a significant rise from previous years. Additionally, 24% of parents borrowed money to feed their children. With your support, The Ireland Funds continues to be there for organizations like FoodCloud, Cork Penny Dinners, and COPE Galway. These groups and others are tackling food waste and providing nutritious meals to thousands of people each week.
