Amazing news: Xamã has been released!

The jaguar rescued as a tiny, helpless cub has been successfully rehabilitated and released back into the Amazon rainforest after over two-years of dedicated care.

His first steps were cautious as he scanned the vast rainforest before him... but then, with confidence, he disappeared into the forest.

This historic release marks the first time a male jaguar has been successfully rehabilitated and released to the wild, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of his caretakers and supporters like you, friend.

His next mission will be the most challenging of all: to survive on his own in the wild.

Thanks to Xamã’s radio collar, he will be tracked and monitored from a far to ensure that he is adapting well. Stay tuned for updates!
