Investing in Hope: Supporting Children’s Wellbeing Across the island of Ireland

The early years of a child's life are filled with promise, and The Ireland Funds works with organizations like Barnardos to ensure those early years are on the right track. Barnardos is there for vulnerable children and parents like the young mother living in Knocknaheeny, Cork who was able to emerge from two years of homelessness with her children and is now working full-time thanks to Barnardos' intervention. In her words, "It's been literally life-changing" for her family.

Creative Access:
The Irish Chamber Orchestra

The Ireland Funds Heart of the Community Fund has helped the Irish Chamber Orchestra provide musical tuition to hundreds of children in Limerick, free of charge. It was recently announced that The Ireland Funds and the Irish Chamber Orchestra were shortlisted in the 2025 Business to Arts Awards in the category of Creative Access. 

The recognition "celebrates excellence in arts sponsorship, philanthropy, commissioning, corporate social responsibility and creative community engagement." We're delighted that the work our donors make possible is being recognized for its impact.

The George Moore Scholars Event

A special event in Dublin celebrated the 57 exceptional students selected as the latest 2025 class of George Moore Scholars. Launched in 2020 by The Ireland Funds, the George Moore Scholars program invests in the next generation of leaders and innovators.

The program widens access to postgraduate education and extends learning opportunities for students across the island of Ireland. Later this year, these scholars will undertake their Master’s programs at leading international institutions across the United States, Canada, the UK and Europe. Since 2020, the George Moore Scholars program has awarded over €13m to support over 250 students.
