Globally, we reached a historic milestone: for the first time ever, The Ireland Funds worldwide made 1,300+ grants and scholarships totalling over $58 million. This monumental achievement supported the work of more than 380 organizations, marking a new era for the impact we can deliver together.

As we look ahead to our 50th anniversary in 2026, we move forward with ambition and purpose. We cannot wait to celebrate this landmark year with you and our global community.

The San Francisco Women in Leadership Luncheon

The Ireland Funds Women in Leadership Luncheon was held on December 5, 2025 at the San Francisco Four Seasons Hotel. Equinix CEO Adaire Fox-Martin, and Jemma Cassidy, Chief Product Officer at Banana Republic, were the Guest Speakers.

Consul General Micheál Smith welcomed the audience of over 350 guests and spoke of the important role of Irish women in so many arenas. On this 20th anniversary of the Luncheon, West Coast VP Marjorie Muldowney spoke of the role Irish women have played in San Francisco, leading companies, communities, and causes and how so much of our work is devoted to helping advance opportunity and uplift female leadership.

Maudy Dooher, VP of Development at The Ireland Funds, took a moment to thank the Young Leaders Co-Chairs — Colleen Kelly, Sean Hannigan, and John Flaherty — as they step down from this role. Their unwavering support, dedication, and bold leadership over the past two years have been pivotal to this success.
