Marcus Lau, MEd'24Since completing his Master of Education in 2024, Marcu Lau has taken on the role of District Resource Teacher for Supporting Inclusion with the Vancouver School Board (VSB). In this capacity, he works across the district to facilitate smooth transitions for students—from elementary to secondary and secondary to post-secondary—while guiding teachers in implementing Universal Design for Learning (UDL) strategies. |

Alfredo Ferreira, PhD'17Alfredo Ferreira is an educator and curriculum designer whose work has helped shape one of UBC’s most unique academic programs. Before completing his PhD in Language and Literacy Education in 2017, Alfredo was invited by the Office of the Vice-Provost to develop the foundational architecture of what would become the Academic English Program (AEP) for UBC Vantage College—then an emerging “bridge program” for international first‑year English additional language (EAL) students.
