Cascade PBS Ideas Festival—New Speakers Added
|
|
The 2026 Cascade PBS Ideas Festival welcomes ESPN legend Kenny Mayne and HBO’s Hacks breakout comedian Robby Hoffman. They will be joining star of Orange is the New Black Laverne Cox, Fresh Air’s Tonya Mosley, Nick “On the Rocks” Zentner, Mossback’s Northwest’s Knute Berger and more journalists, authors, and thought leaders from around the country.
Robby Hoffman, Emmy-winning writer, Emmy-nominated actor, and comedian currently stars on HBO’s Hacks, where she earned an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series and currently appears on the HBO series Rooster from Steve Carell and Bill Lawrence.
Laverne Cox, Emmy-winning actress, producer, LGBTQ+ advocate, and author, best known for her role as Sophia Burset on Orange Is the New Black, which made her the first openly transgender person nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award is the author of a new book Transcendent – A Memoir.
Kenny Mayne, after 27 years with ESPN, where he hosted Kenny Mayne's Wider World of Sports and The Mayne Event, as the recipient of the Keith Jackson award for excellence in media, he currently cohosts We Need a Fourth, a comedy golf podcast.
